00:01 What happens after you post bond? Well, bond, as soon as you've made it from the jail, is your kickoff sign to hiring a lawyer.
00:09 After you've made a bond, you have a certain amount of time before if it's a misdemeanor that case is going to be filed,
00:14 or if it's a felony that case is going to be indicted.
00:17 And what that means is that you've got a limited amount of time to find a lawyer that's going to suit your needs
00:22 and that's going to benefit or fight for you.
00:25 Find a lawyer that, in all cases, is going to try to put as much information together
00:30 as they can from your side, evidence from you, and evaluate and look at the evidence
00:35 from the state of Texas.
00:36 And find if there is a strategy, an approach by which they can contact the prosecutor and
00:41 try to see if there is an avenue to a dismissal or something that's favorable to you.
00:46 So what do you do after your bond?
00:48 Well, you abide by all the conditions that the court has placed on you.
00:52 make sure that you contact your bondsman as needed when you're supposed to. Do all of that,
00:57 but ultimately it's time to find a lawyer. Find a lawyer who's going to offer you a free consult.
01:03 Look into that lawyer, research them, and find the one that fits you and has the experience
01:09 to do the best they can for your case. I'm Brian Powers. Thank you.
